Using MXene membranes to revolutionize the way the world tackles climate change

Our pledge to reduce co2 in the atmosphere

At EcoCapture, one of our core values is to produce zero carbon dioxide emissions at any stage of our company. We pride ourselves on ensuring that 100% of the CO2 we remove from the atmosphere is not offset by other emissions throughout the removal process.

With our membranes, the capture of carbon dioxide is fully passive, meaning that it requires no electricity. Other stages, such as the production of the membranes and the transportation of CO2, do require energy, but we guarantee that it's sourced from non-carbon-emitting resources.

Features

We've designed MXene membranes with qualities that help us to create the most effective CO2 removal technology available

01

Controlled Pore Size

By utilizing different hydrofluoric acids, EcoCapture membranes are tailored to have pores that mirror the linear shape of carbon dioxide molecules. This selective pore structure enhances CO2 capture efficiency while allowing smaller molecules to pass through, optimizing membrane performance.

02

Amino - Functionalization

EcoCapture membranes are amino-functionalized, meaning amino groups are added to their surface. These groups attract CO2 molecules, forming strong hydrogen bonds that ensure their retention within the membrane. This selective bonding minimizes the risk of capturing other gases, enhancing the purity of captured CO2.

03

Vacuum Regeneration Process

Captured carbon dioxide remains within the membrane until removal through vacuum regeneration. This process involves subjecting the membranes to light vacuum suction, driving the desorption of CO2 molecules from the membrane surface. The extracted gas can then be stored underground or utilized in various applications

04

Potential for Reuse

While Eco Capture primarily focuses on CO2 capture, there is potential for future exploration of reuse options for captured carbon dioxide. This includes utilization in fuels, concrete, and other industrial processes, expanding the utility of captured CO2 beyond storage and contributing to sustainable resource management practices.
